I have been teaching K4 for five years at my current school. I enjoy finding new ways to help my students learn, and love to help them celebrate their successes, big or small, every day. Working in a low income school is both rewarding and challenging. Each day is an adventure, and I encourage my students to try their hardest, be kind and thoughtful towards one another, and support their classmates. I have created a learning environment where my students feel safe and are comfortable asking questions and participating. My third grade teacher was my inspiration to become a teacher, and my hope is to inspire my students to be the best they can be every day.

My students love Eric Carle's books, and this is one of his books I do not have in our Eric Carle collection. My class and I work on an Eric Carle author study unit, so I would love to add this book to our classroom library and especially highlight it during our author study unit.

My class is amazing, and very big this year! I have 8 girls and 11 very active boys that are 4 and 5 years old. They love to read and get very excited when new books are added to the classroom library. Most of my students come from under privileged homes and have very few books to read outside of school. Four of my students speak another language besides English for their primary language.
